Yes We Cannes

Every May, the Cannes Film Festival delivers almost more glamour than we can stand: the best and brightest filmmakers and actors of both the old and new guard, fabulous parties, outrageous fashion, and the white sand beaches of the French Riviera. The Traverso family has been given unparalleled access to shoot the Festival since its 1939 launch (there’s a family business we wouldn’t mind being born into), and now the iconic moments they captured have been compiled by Gilles Traverso, with captions from Cinémathèque Francaise director Serge Toubiana, in the drool-worthy coffee table book Cannes Cinema (available early June from Cahiers du Cinéma). We hope our living rooms can handle this much chic.
